This release is about what happens right after you take an order. The app now hands you the document you need to print, lets you correct a confirmed order without going back to the office, and stops a direct sale billing a weekly customer twice. Your basket is also kept safe if you get interrupted.
Orders and documents
The right document, straight after you confirm: Confirming an order now hands you the document to print. If your setup allows more than one, a panel slides up offering Delivery note, Invoice or Nothing to print, and if only one applies it opens on its own.
Drivers no longer hit an error at the door: Someone who is not allowed to see invoices is now given the delivery note instead of a failed invoice they were never able to open.
The same behaviour from either screen: Orders taken from the basket and orders taken on the order sheet now hand over documents in exactly the same way.
Amend a confirmed order from the phone: Confirmed orders now have an Amend order button. It opens the order back into your basket, and the app tells you before you start whether saving will move stock or only update the invoice.
A clear reason when you cannot amend: If an order cannot be amended, or one of its products is no longer in the catalogue, the app says so instead of failing quietly.
Selling on the spot
Sell now understands weekly customers: A direct sale to a weekly customer now goes onto their week rather than raising a separate invoice for the same goods, and the app tells you it will appear on the weekly invoice at the end of the week.
The right document after a direct sale: A weekly sale prints the order and a normal sale prints the invoice, so what you hand over always matches how the customer is billed.
Fewer interruptions
Your basket survives an interruption: A part built order is kept, so a phone call, a flat battery or a closed app does not cost you the basket you were working on.
A clear message during maintenance: If the system is briefly unavailable the app now shows a proper maintenance screen and clears it by itself once the system is back, rather than failing without explanation.
Payments cannot be taken twice: If the signal drops while a payment is going through, trying again records the payment once, not twice.
Better on a tablet: Screens now make use of the extra width on tablets and larger phones instead of stretching a phone layout across them.
Barcode scanning is smoother: Scanning asks for the camera permission once, in one place, and the screen responds more quickly.
